For outdoor or indoor banners, nothing beats Du Pont 200 Denier Flag Nylon, formulated especially for sewn and printed banners. It’s the only nylon we use. This fabric offers durability and color fastness for many outdoor conditions, and is also flame-retardant for indoor use. For digitally printed banners, we have dozens of fabrics to choose from, including poplin, linen, duck, knit, satin, microfiber, scrim and vinyl. Contact us and we’ll recommend the perfect material for your project.

Banner Methods

Applique (Sewn)

This is the traditional way to make banners and flags. The design, on one layer of colored nylon, is sewn onto the background nylon, and then the excess is cut away, much like a quilt. Applique banners and flags are very sturdy and are an excellent choice for both outdoor and indoor banners. Best for solid graphics like logos, lettering and silhouettes. in two or three colors. Silkscreen Printing

Opaque ink is imprinted onto a color nylon background, producing sharp graphic edges and superior readability. Durable and fade-resistant, this method can be used for both outdoor and indoor banners and flags. Silkscreen Printing can hold finer details and smaller letters than sewn applique. Best for one or two color graphics printed on a color ground. No gradations or photos. Select background colors from our Nylon Color Chart above.

Digital Printing

Using state-of-the-art processes, your graphics are reproduced on one of many kinds of available white fabrics. The results are stunning: bright, Pantone-matching colors and rich photographic detail are achieved. For outdoor use, we can digitally print on large-scale vinyl or scrim. For indoor display, many types of fabrics are available, such as poly poplin, linen, poly duck, soft knit, satin, microfiber, and many others. We can recommend the best fabric for your job. Digital Printing is best for high-resolution photos, multi-color designs, and intricate details. Perfect for exhibition graphics and interior signage.
